I am highly interested in the specific position as I greatly admire the effort that is being made

During my work experience as a sports animator and project coordinator at the non-
governmental organization (NGO) BUURTSPORT in Brussels and whilst coordinating the
sport activities organized in the context of social integration of young vulnerable population
in Brussels, I had the opportunity to develop strong management, organizational and
complex problem solving skills. I also gained experience in recruiting, training and
supervising staff and volunteers. Furthermore, this experience of working with socially
isolated children and young adults with behavioral problems enabled me to develop the
ability to trouble-shoot, to adapt easily in multicultural groups, work under pressure and
under challenging situations but also to work as part of a team, to listen actively, to
negotiate with the project participants and staff as well as to liaise with the local authorities.
It was indeed a fascinating experience.

Additionally, working in settings such as the camp project Beyond the Borders for people
with special needs, S.E.O for children with special needs as well as gave me the
opportunity to take initiative and make decisions about the efficient function of our team. At
the same time, my work experience in the hot spot camps Diavata and Sindos enabled
me to develop the skill of thinking strategically and implementing detailed plans in
collaboration with healthcare professionals, community representatives and national
authorities. As a result, I have developed a vivid personal and professional network.
