Thank you for your team's ongoing communication with my office regarding this proposal, as
well as your efforts at community engagement. As you know, I have received a remarkably large
volume of constituent correspondence regarding the proposal, all of which I have compiled and
provided to your office. The overwhelming majority of feedback from residents in the immediate
vicinity of the proposal is strongly opposed. In light of that feedback, I cannot support
the current proposal. I continue to value improved street safety, accessibility and convenience,
and I look forward to continuing to work with OTIS on identifying solutions, consistent with the
diverse needs of the surrounding community, both around the South Street Bridge and
throughout the Second District.
