Statistics: Bell Curve.

During the first week of class, Mr. Williams gave his third-grade students a Reading

Assessment. The results were 99, 50, 77, 82, 47, 73, 55, 60, 100, 65, 77, 94, 79. Based on this

data and using the Normal Distribution Plot, create a Bell Curve showing the mode, the mean

and the median from the Reading Assessment results.

o Assessment results:

47 50 55 60 65 73 77 77 79 82 94 99 100

o Mean: 73.69

After adding all (13) results together, the sum was 958. To obtain the mean, the

sum needs to be divided by 13 (total amount of data), obtaining the mean value.

o Mode: 77

Any data that is repeated.

o Median: 77

After the data is ordered from lowest to greatest value, the median is the value

that falls exactly in the middle.
