Course Title: Contemporary Management

1. Course Aim:

The course examines the set of decisions and actions that result in the formulation, implementation
and evaluation of strategic objectives designed to achieve a company's mission. It comprises many
tasks that would help in dealing effectively with everything that affects the goal of a firm.

2. Intended Learning Outcome:

Upon completion of this course, the student should be able to:


1. Formulate the company's vision and mission, including broad statements about purposes,
philosophy and goals
2. conduct an analysis that reflects the company's internal conditions and capabilities
3. Assess the company's external environment
4. Analyze the company's options by matching its resources with the external environment.
5. Identify the most desirable options by evaluating each option in light of the company's
mission
6. Select long term objectives and grand strategies that will achieve the most desirable options.
