NOTICE

MMS SEMESTER-III
SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROJECT REPORT
The MMS students are required to submit the Summer Project Report as per the guidelines
mentioned below:

(a) The internship report in the area of specialization will carry 100 marks.

(b) Student must have an interaction with the respective faculty mentor regarding the internship
on Wednesday, 26th April 2017 at 1:00 p.m. onwards. The student should get the best
possible clarity on the approach towards the internship and the subsequent project work to be
done during this interaction.

(c) The project work should start with preparation of the Project Synopsis (format attached).
Students must finalize the Topic for the project work based on the work given during
internship. The topic should be finalized in consultation with the respective Faculty Mentor.
The synopsis approval from the Faculty Mentor will take place on Sunday, 25th June 2017
at 10:00 a.m. The duly signed and approved copy of the project synopsis needs to be
submitted to the Course Co-ordinator on or before Saturday, 08th July 2017. Once the
synopsis is approved by the Faculty Mentor the students can proceed with the project. Faculty
Mentor will have to be continuously updated about the progress made by the student in the
project.

(d) Students will have to meet the Faculty Mentor with the first draft of the project on Friday,
28th July, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. This draft can be a soft copy or spiral copy as suitable to the
faculty mentor.

(e) The respective Faculty Mentor will go through the draft copy and suggest if any further
changes are required. The student has to make the relevant changes and get the changes re-
approved from the Faculty Mentor.

(g) Upon approval by the Faculty Mentor for the draft copy the student can proceed for the black
binded copy with golden embossing.

(h) The black binded project copy with golden embossing duly signed by the Faculty Mentor and
the student has to be submitted to the concerned Faculty Mentor on or before On or Before
Friday, 18th August 2017 at 9:00 a.m. No extension would be provided for the same.

(i) The faculty mentor will evaluate the project for 60 marks and forward it for further evaluations
of 40 marks. Only if the faculty mentor approves the project it would be considered for
viva evaluations.

(j) All the approved projects will have a Pre-Viva Presentation Evaluation with the concerned
Faculty Mentor on Thursday, 24th August, 2017 from 9:30 am onwards.

(k) All the approved projects will have their Viva Voce on Saturday, 09th September 2017 from
9:30 am onwards. The detailed panels for the same will be communicated by Wednesday,
06th September, 2017.

(l) The evaluation of the project work out of 100 marks has been divided into two major
components of 40 marks (Viva Presentations) and 60 marks (Mentor Evaluation), where
60 marks evaluation will be done by the faculty mentor and 40 marks evaluation will be done
by the viva panelists. Each student has to make a power point presentation of 10 minutes
followed by questions & answers on the same. The marks allotted for evaluation are defined
as follows:

(m) In each of the following cases the panelists/mentors reserves the right to give marks whatever
they feel is deserved by the student:
Cases of students who are not formally dressed for the viva, who have not done genuine work,
who carry a casual attitude, who have not adhered to deadlines and prescribed format, do not
have any knowledge about the topic etc.

(n) The best project & presentations made by the students in their respective specializations will
be chosen for Best Summer Project Award.
