Lesson idea implementation

Teachers or students can create a movie with audio that presents information to others about slopes, but
for this lesson the teacher will offer this in a blog so students have access to the video at home whenever
they need to go back to it. The video can take about 20 minutes to an hour, so if a teacher wants to produce
their own video it is recommended to do so out of class.
Students learning will be assessed indirectly by a test at the end of the lesson. This video is a visual aid, not
for a grade. I can give an extra credit assignment for students to make a video of how slopes are found in
their daily lives and post it in the blog discussion section. If the video is valid then they will get some test
points back.

Importance of technology: The multimedia authoring tool is critical to making videos because it helps making
sure the video comes out the way the student or teacher wants it. Quality of the video would not be great
without these tools to help, so it is highly recommended.

Internet Safety and Student Privacy: To protect students, the teacher will need to make sure that the
students did not just copy someone elses work. If they did put a part of it in their video, they need to make
sure the creator of that product is credited. Copyright needs to be address by crediting the authors. Teachers
also need to make sure the context of the videos will not harm students in any way.
