1 SECTION 1. AUTHORITY OF DIRECTOR OF THE FEDERAL

2 BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION TO REVOKE

3 CERTAIN SECURITY CLEARANCES.

4 Section 3002 of the Intelligence Reform and Ter-

5 rorism Prevention Act of 2004 (50 U.S.C. 3343) is
6 amended by adding at the end the following new sub-
7 section:
8 (e) OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES OF EXECUTIVE OF-
9 FICE OF THE PRESIDENT.
10 (1) AUTHORITY OF DIRECTOR OF THE FED-

11 ERAL BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION.Notwith-

12 standing the procedures established under section

13 801(a) of the National Security Act of 1947 (50
14 U.S.C. 3161(a)), the Director of the Federal Bureau
15 of Investigation may revoke, or prohibit the renewal
16 of, a security clearance of an individual described in
17 paragraph (2) if the Director determines that such
18 revocation, or prohibition of renewal, is necessary for
19 national security purposes.
20 (2) INDIVIDUAL DESCRIBED.An individual
21 described in this paragraph is an officer or employee
22 of the Executive Office of the President who holds
23 a security clearance that provide for access to
24 (A) special access programs;
25 (B) Restricted Data; or
