GENERAL REQUIREMENTS FOR SCHENGEN VISA

All visa applicants older than 12 years must have separate appointment and apply in person!
Every question on the application form has to be answered. Incomplete and unsigned forms will not be accepted!
All the supporting documents should be originals, not older than 3 months. Only English or Dutch translation can be
accepted.
Depending on the circumstance of your application, you may be required to submit additional documents.
It is essential to apply for a visa well in advance of your trip (but not more than 3 months).

CONCERNING MINOR CHILDREN

1. Written approval of their parents/legal guardians.
2. Copy of passport of parents (signature page and bio-data page)
3. Copy of a birth certificate.
4. Letter from the school/college that absence is permitted (if applicable)

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR TOURIST VISA

1. Duly filled application form with 1 recent photograph (NOT OLDER THEN 6 MONTHS) with
white or grey background color passport size.
2. Passport valid at least 3 months after expiry date of the visa.
3. Copy of holder page travel document.
4. Copy of ID card if applicable.
5. Previous passport if any.
6. Copy of flight reservation and hotel booking for the entire period of stay in Schengen Area.
7. Copy of travel insurance, minimum coverage 30,000 (thirty thousand) valid for Schengen Area for the duration of
your stay.
8. The visa fee equivalent of 60.00 (sixty) in KWD, cash only.
9. Letter from the employer/sponsor stating how long you have been working for the company, what is your
designation (position) and how much is your monthly salary (Kuwaiti nationals exempted).
10. Valid Kuwaiti residence permit endorsed in passport.
11. Proof of social/ economic ties; original bank statements of the last 6 months (Kuwaiti nationals exempted).

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR BUSINESS VISA

1. Duly filled application form with 1 recent photograph (NOT OLDER THEN 6 MONTHS) with
white or grey background color passport size.
2. Passport valid at least 3 months after expiry date of the visa with valid Kuwaiti residence
permit.
3. Copy of holder page travel document.
4. Copy of ID card if applicable.
5. Previous passport if any.
6. Copy flight reservation.
7. Copy of travel insurance, minimum coverage 30,000 (thirty thousand) valid for Schengen Area for the duration of
your stay.
8. Invitation letter from the Netherlands has to be send directly to the Embassy by fax (+965 2534 0920) or email
(kwe-ca@minbuza.nl)
9. Letter from the employer/sponsor stating how long you have been working with the company, what is your
designation, how much is your monthly salary, what is the purpose of your visit to the Netherlands and the
guarantee of financial means and your return to Kuwait (Kuwaiti nationals exempted)
10. The visa fee equivalent of 60.00 (sixty) in KWD, cash only.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR FRIEND/FAMILY VISIT

1. Duly filled application form with 1 recent photograph (NOT OLDER THEN 6 MONTHS) with
white or grey background color passport size.
2. Passport valid at least 3 months after expiry date of the visa with valid Kuwaiti residence permit.
3. Copy of holder page travel document
4. Copy of ID card if applicable.
5. Previous passport if any.
6. Copy of flight reservation.
7. Copy of travel insurance, minimum coverage 30,000 (thirty thousand) valid for Schengen area for the duration of
your stay.
8. Original invitation letter from the relative or friend (host) in the Netherlands stamped by the municipality of the
city of his/her residency.
9. Copy of holder passport referent/host.
10. Proof of relationship with host.
11. Letter from the employer/sponsor stating how long you have been working for the company, what is your
designation and how much is your monthly salary.
12. Proof of social/economic ties; original bank statements of the last 6 months (Kuwaiti nationals exempted).
13. The visa handling fee equivalent of 60 (sixty) in local currency (KWD), cash only

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR AIRPORT TRANSIT VISA

1. Duly filled application form with 1 recent photograph (NOT OLDER THEN 6 MONTHS) with
white or grey background color passport size
2. Passport valid at least 3 months after expiry date of the airport transit visa
3. Valid entry visa to the country of your final destination.
4. Confirmed airline ticket
5. The visa handling fee equivalent of 60 (sixty) in local currency (KWD), cash only

Only holders of a valid visa to UK, USA, Canada or Japan will not require an airport transit visa while travelling to their final
destination via Amsterdam!
