5. In your opinion do you think Richard and Mr. Kilmer would still maintain a
correspondence had Mr. Kilmer not gone to war? Give reasons for your answer.
-Yes. I think Mr.Kilmer would still respond to Richards letters because he seems to be a
nice man who would love to encourage the younger generation to appreciate poetry,
especially those who not get adequate support from their family.

6. In what ways has Mr. Kilmer Helped Richard through his letters?
-Mr. Kilmer has become somewhat like a mentor ans a father figure to Richard through
his letters. He gives Richard support, advice and a willing to listen to his problems.

7. Do you think Angie did the right thing by giving up her education? Give reasons for your
answer.
-No, I dont think giving up her education is the right thing to do. This is because
education is important and it would give her more opportunities in life. Mr. Knight should
have hired someone to help out around the farm instead of depending on his daughter.

8. In his poem, Richard writes A precious little world has died. What does he mean by it?
-It means that a very important person in his life has died. While to some a persons
death may just be a statistics, it means the world to the person who loves him such as
his family and friends.
