2. Hazards Identification
Emergency overview Combustible liquid and vapor. Harmful: may cause lung damage if swallowed. May be irritating to
the eyes, skin, and respiratory system. This product is not considered to be a carcinogen by
IARC, ACGIH, NTP, or OSHA.
Potential health effects
Eyes Liquid or vapors may irritate the eyes.
Skin Prolonged or repeated contact can result in defatting and drying of the skin which may result in
skin irritation and dermatitis (rash).
Inhalation Avoid breathing dust/fume/gas/mist/vapors/spray. Aspiration of mineral oil dust may cause lipoid
pneumonia.
Ingestion Harmful: may cause lung damage if swallowed. Small amounts of this product, if aspirated into the
lungs, may cause mild to severe pulmonary injury.
Small Spills: Wipe up with absorbent material (e.g. cloth, fleece). Clean contaminated surface
thoroughly. After removal flush contaminated area thoroughly with water.
Never return spills in original containers for re-use. This material and its container must be
disposed of as hazardous waste.
