    finance!and!urbanism!under!state!leasehold!systems.!Despite!its!practical!importance,!there!is!still!a!paucity!of!
    empirical!research!on!public!land!transactions!around!transportation!facilities!across!Asian!city7states.!This!research!
    presents!how!selected!Asian!city7states!successfully!or!unsuccessfully!coordinate!public!land!leases!together!with!
    mega7transportation!infrastructure!projects!from!both!financial!and!geographical!perspectives.!!This!presentation!
    also!covers!some!figures!and!preliminary!analysis!on!private!(non7residential)!property!transactions!and!real!estate!
    investment!trusts!(H7REITs)!in!guiding!the!Worlds!densest!urbanization!of!Hong!Kong!and!stresses!the!importance!of!

    Dr.!Jin!Murakami!is!a!transnational!city!planner!and!academic!researcher.!He!is!currently!an!Assistant!
    Professor/Associate!Program!Leader!in!the!Department!of!Architecture!and!Civil!Engineering!at!City!University!of!
    Hong!Kong!(CityU).!He!has!specialized!in!the!areas!of!transportation!and!land!use,!spatial!planning!and!economic!
    development!in!globalization,!and!project!management!and!land!policy.!His!research!focuses!principally!on!"spatial",!
    "financial",!and!technological!matters!that!influence!city7regions'!global!competitiveness!and!local!livability.!His!
    recent!projects!include!an!international!study!of!transit7oriented!developments!(TODs)!across!Asia!and!North!
    America,!an!empirical!analysis!of!the!impacts!of!railway!network!evolution!and!airport!access!improvement!on!
    business!agglomeration!patterns!in!U.S.!metropolitan!areas,!a!spatial!analysis!of!the!interaction!between!HSR!and!
    urban!development!in!American,!Japanese!and!Chinese!city7regions,!megaprojects!and!value!capture!opportunities!
    in!Asian!capitalist!cities.!Dr.!Murakami!completed!his!Ph.D.!in!City!and!Regional!Planning!at!the!University!of!
