JAYCO PVC WATERSTOPS

DESCRIPTION
Jayco PVC Waterstops are compounded from top quality virgin PVC compound for use in various building and
civil engineering structures. The waterstops are readily joined by heat welding and prefabricated intersections
are available. All the conventional sizes and profiles are available and come with fixing lugs to ensure proper
positioning.

PVC Content : 40% (m/m) min.

APPLICATION

Jayco PVC waterstops are used in joints of the following structures:

1. Basements
2. Water retaining structures e.g water reservoirs, sewage treatment plants, tanks, canals etc.
3. Retaining walls.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Select the profile and size for the particular joint to be sealed. As a rule of thumb the dumbell profile is used
in shrinkage and construction joints, the centrebulb type in expansion joints and the rearguard type for
external applications e.g. on basement floors.

Position the waterstops in accordance with the drawing. Where the reel length is insufficient, heat weld to
the required lengths. Fabricate intersections as required ensuring all joints are watertight. Alternatively the
required intersections may be purchased and merely heat welded into position.

Fix the waterstop by means of the fixing lugs to the reinforcing steel ensuring proper alignment.

Cast concrete Note: When the concrete is cast in sections sufficient overlap of the waterstop must be
allowed for subsequent joining. Ensue proper compaction particularly the underside of the waterstop.
