UNIT-I Q.1 (a) Define five basic properties of fluid and explain for a fluid to be incompressible which property of fluid will be constant and why? (b) Explain Pascals law, Hydrostatic law, Capillary and Vapour pressure OR Q.2 Explain different types of fluid and also draw their relationship between the viscosity and shears tress. (b) 20 m3 of fluid weighs 105. Calculate the specific weight, mass density, specific volume and specific gravity. UNIT-II Q.3 (a) Explain different types of flow (b) A 25 cm diameter pipe carries oil of specific gravity 0.9 at a velocity of 3 m/s. As another section the diameter is 20 cm. Find the velocity at this section and also the mass flow rate if oil. OR Q.4 (a) Derive Eulers equation along a streamline (b) Write down the assumptions and applications of Bernoullis equation. UNIT-III Q.5 State the Rayleigh method and using it derive the following relationship shown below
