$100,000 Reward Offered For 3 Unsolved Murders in Macon County

Decatur, IL (August 4, 2017) - During the 2017 Decatur Celebration, the Macon County Sheriffs Office is
offering up to a $100,000 reward for information leading to the conviction of the person(s) responsible for the
murders of Sherry Lewis, or Kalab Witty, or Timothy Norris. The reward money offered through the Sheriffs
office is funded by the Howard G. Buffett Foundation. This reward will only be considered for tips that are
received from 6:00 p.m. Friday, August 4, 2017 through midnight Sunday, August 6, 2017.

To be eligible for the cash rewards, those with information must provide information to authorities by
calling the special hotline that has been established for this reward opportunity at:

A control number will be given to each caller for the purpose of identification in the event the tip leads to a
conviction and the reward is distributed.

We are committed to the ongoing search for critical evidence needed to close these cases. We have an obligation
to the victims families and our community to help ensure justice is served, said Macon County Sheriff Tom
Schneider. Thanks to the Howard G. Buffett Foundation, this new reward money can help identify the
perpetrators of these crimes and provide overdue closure.

On August 5, 1994, realtor Sherry Lewis, 30, was killed during an appointment to show a home on Finch Drive
in Decatur. She was brutally beaten and strangled.

On August 4, 2011, Kalab Witty, 17, and his younger sister were walking home from the Decatur Celebration
along Johns Ave., east of 22nd St. when two males approached them, demanding money. During the
confrontation Witty was shot and killed.

On August 13, 2015, Timothy Norris, 36, was shot and killed in the 1500 block of East Walnut in Decatur.
According to police, Norris was found outside, having been shot in the upper-left back around 1:45 a.m. in the
morning.

While several potential suspects developed during the investigations of these homicides, no arrests have been
made.

A reward will be paid once the Macon County Sheriffs Office has verified that a tip led to the conviction of a
suspect. Rewards can be split on any given case depending on the information provided and law enforcement's
disposition of all tips received. All those with any information surrounding these cases are urged to call the

August 6th at midnight.
