Within fourteen days of arrival in Switzerland, and before you starting work in
Switzerland you will have to register with your commune of residence.

Lease agreement: the lease agreement needs to be valid for at least 6 months,
and it needs to be in your name.
Fee: CHF 100 approx.
Copies of Power of attorney. <Comments> You have this already with you. I will
also forward.
Original Registration Form. Based on your place of living, this Form will be
provided by our Service Provider, Fragomen. Contact me at
jchandrasekar@utopiainc.com with complete address of your place of residence
as per your Lease Agreement so that I can coordinate with Fragomen.
Original copy of the final decision. Based on your place of living, this document
will be provided by our Service Provider, Fragomen.
Copy of the Form 1044. Will be provided by Fragomen.
Your Original Marriage Certificate with original apostille and Italian translation (if
your Dependent has accompanied on a Dependent Visa).
Address of the commune that you need to visit. <Comments> This is also based on
where you live in Switzerland. Once you share complete address we will get you the
address.
Attestation of arrival: When you register with the Commune, request a document
called attestation of arrival. This document is usually accepted for the conclusion of
agreements, such as health insurance agreement etc.
Foreigners ID: Be informed that the Foreigners ID (Swiss work and residence permit)
contains biometric data. For this purpose, you will have to go to the migration authority
responsible for your address of residence in order to get your picture and fingerprints
taken for the issuance of the Foreigners ID. It is likely that the commune or the migration
authority will provide you an appointment after the completion of the registration in order
to complete these formalities.
Within a few weeks of registration and completion of the formalities required for the
issuance of the biometric Foreigners ID, you will receive your actual Foreigner's ID.
Be aware of the fact that after the registration in Switzerland it may take several weeks
until you receive your Foreigner's ID. In case that you need to travel between the times
you enter Switzerland and the receipt of the Foreigner's ID, you may need to apply for
an re-entry visa before you leave Switzerland (subject to conditions that may vary from
place to place). Please contact Immigration if you need to travel outside of Switzerland
before your Foreigners ID is available.
Ensure that you provide us with a copy of your "Foreigners ID" once it is issued.
Should your assignment be cancelled before you enter Switzerland, advise us since we
have to inform the authorities.
