indicates a growth towards research due to the utility of the also improved through online seminars
and quiz..The project report by the UG students in Skill Based Elective systems in the lab through
their references.

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT:

Mathematics the Queen of Science has increasing demand even among students
opting for latest technological studies . The Department started in 1923 with
undergraduate course with the growth as Autonomy in 1987, Post graduate course
was introduced in 1994. To meet the challenges in the field of research ,the
department has been elevated to the status of PG and Research department in 2012.
Research environment provides platform to scholars of M.Phil. course and full time
Ph.D.

OBJECTIVES:

To promote analytical thinking and reasoning skills in the minds of students


To provide opportunities to strengthen their knowledge in basic concepts of
mathematics
To strive for academic excellence and values in life
To contribute towards research in the form of research articles and projects
