2. Current Position
1. Significant experience in underground surveying and have gradually shifted to opencast surveying;
consequently well-versed in both underground and surface surveying methods. Since West Bokaro
initially was operated in underground mining method and surface operations, presently, are
coordinated with safe handling of erstwhile underground galleries, possesses thorough and
comprehensive understanding of both U/G and O/C surveying and mine planning methods.
2. Highly adept in manoeuvring mine planning software Surpac, Minex, and AutoCad for reserve
estimation
3. Manipulation of reserves to develop projections to facilitate short and long term mine planning using
outputs derived from aforesaid software
4. Expertise in using Total station and Surpac software for estimation of stocks (Raw Coal, Clean Coal,
Middling, Tailings and Rejects) every fortnight
5. Requirement based support for alignment related technical activities across Washery, Ropeways and
other engineering installations for fixing of alignment etc.
6. Fixing of mining lease pillars, forest pillars, and safety pillars by extracting strategic GPS coordinates
with the help of DGPS and Total Station
8. Detailed surface survey of entire West Bokaro with the help of Total Station and Mine Planning
Software
10. Extending value based support to the Land Department for revenue survey and for sorting out
leasehold disputes
11. Involved in strategic jobs such as shifting of Magazine, DMC, FRS, Zero Point etc.
12. Reconciliation of stock measurement every fortnight encompassing Washery -2, Washery- 3,
Chainpur, Tailing Stock, Reject Stock and other areas if any with the help of Total Station and Surpac
software
13. Ensure compliance to safety among sub-ordinates and conduct job cycle check at regular intervals to
figure out potential for unsafe action and weeding it out
14. Improve safety performance of department, by implementing Enhance Safety Excellence Journey
and recommendation of DuPont.
15. Preparing for the various meetings and making presentations and minutes of meeting.
Conducting safety audits in the department and apprising the HOD for any safety related issues
16. Investigating all incidents and ensuring deployment of the recommendations in his departments.
