Course Description
The level 1 Morning Class includes all four language skills: reading, writing, speaking,
and listening. We will study vocabulary and grammar that will help you describe people
and events, and to give and receive instructions. We will use phrasal verbs and

descriptive.
The Environment
Students will:
write short, basic descriptions of people, places and things.

Students will:
write a simple story or description of an event using basic time expressions.
Describe peoples everyday lives using a short series of simple phrases and
expressions.
Understand short, simple narratives and biographies.
Give an example of something in a very simple text using like or for example.
Indigenous Canadians
Students will:
Can read a simple text and extract factual details.
Can understand short, simple narratives and biographies.
Can write short basic descriptions of past events and activities.
