Security Instruction

Jiangsu New Hongda Group Co., Ltd. is specialized in
professional agitator production enterprise of the People's Republic of
China Light. All agitators are equipped with safety shield to prevent
possible personnel injury or equipment damage. Therefore, prior to
installation or maintenance please read this manual carefully. Any
negligence will cause unnecessary damage and casualties caused by
machinery

1. Agitator can not be used beyond original design

purpose.

2.

Do not change operation data (power, output

shaft speed, shaft length, impeller, etc.). Please consult to sales manager or aftersales

service department of manufacturer if customer must change operation data.

3.
Before lifting, check the connection of lift lock
and agitator whether it is firm. Lifting can not start until everything is ready.
4.

Do not connected to the

electrical power unless the agitator has been installed, and all components have been

installed, all fasteners have been tightened according to the requirements of this manual.

Do not increase frequency inverter unless customer consult to sales manager

or aftersales service department of manufacturer about compatibility.
6. When agitator runs, do not contact

rotating components.

7. Do not run agitator before following

items check finishing:

Read the manual and execute

according to requirement of it;
All men and other equipment should not
keep away from rotating parts;
All power supply, liquid

supply, gas supply are connected according to standard and specifications;

All enclosures, covers are properly installed;

All removable parts are properly installed;
All motors of agitators must be earthing protected


Output shaft of agitator can be rotated freely by handsFor items missing or not defined in
the manual, much strict requirement shall be followed.

Agitators have two types , mainly pulley transmission, others by vertical - mounted gear reducer

drive .

There is no other lubrication point except for gear-motor and frame.

For lubrication points of gear-motor or reducer, please see the enclosed documents

from equipment supplier. Lubrication point for frame is bearing-grease in the bearing seat.

Installation Preparation
1.1

NHD Check the equipment, It they are damaged in delivery, please

claim to forwarder and NHD.

1.2

Check parts of

every agitator whether they are complete. Drive unit (gear motor, couplings, and

frame) will be assembled and tested in shop. The agitator will be separated into

several parts for easy transportation. Shafts and blades will be packed respectively

after balance test, which will be assembled on site.

1.3

Check whether installation basis, mounting

height(mounting level to bottom), baffle, lifting hole conform with general

arrangement drawing.

Lifting and Installation

If lifting agitator is not in compliance with the
manual, it will result in accident. Please ensure thoroughly
understanding the content of the installation, operating and
maintenacewhich can guarantee the normal operation of equipment to
avoid any equipment damage and personal injury

2-1 General lifting Description:

a)

Do not lift agitator (shaft and blades) and drive unit together. Lift

them separately. (Lifting from one place to another)

b)When the

sling or sling lifting in a loose state, the operator should avoid a impact on machine by

sudden load;

c) Find the gravity center

for lifting to avoid eccentric load.;

d) In lifting the operator

should avoid damage to the surface paint, etc.

After agitators are lifted into vessel, it should be placed properly( in

vertical position or horizontal by support).

Before connecting agitator and transmission parts, we should pay attention to

check the transmission part is installed in place, and has passed inspection.

2-4 Blade installation

When the blade and shaft need to be assembled on site, lift them

into vessel and assembled them in vessel -- please refer to NHD Agitator

Installation Drawings (Appendix 1 ) to ensure that the installation direction is

consistent with the shaft orientation and marks on the blade surfaces is consistent

with marks on assembly location of shafts and then the fastener should be given the

spot welding after tightening,;

Transmission device should mount
on a high rigid basis. Install carefully to avoid any losses and injury.

Start-up
3-1 Before start up, make a careful

check as following

0.1mm

8mm Check installation of agitator(Drive units levelness

should not more than 0.1mm, and shaft end radial tolerance should be within 8mm by manual

rotating shaft)

Rotate the fan at

motor end by hand and check whether agitator can rotate freely;

Check whether motor is

earthing connected according to motor specification;

Whether actual

rotating direction conforms with arrow direction (See installation drawing)

Check gear motor and fill lubricant/grease (as per reducer manual) .

3-2 Before feed-in to tank

agitator several minutes in the empty tank, check whether there is any abnormal noise;

No non-load running with high speed

running agitator

Test run with water;

Empty

tank and confirm that all installation is OK and all fasteners should be firm.

3-3 Run with feed-in material

Do start motor when impeller is

buried and blocked;
Check whether motor and reducer can run well.

If there

is abnormal condition(such as abnormal vibration, noise), it should stop agitator. Do not

continue run or restart before fault is settled.

Preservation and Store

4-1 For long term stored agitator(not

installed)

It must be

prevented from rust or distortion of shaft and blade by improper store.

Motor storage, please see motor manual.

NHD

agitators are surface treated for anticorrosion. Stainless steel parts are passivated and carbon steel

flanges are treated with antirust agent, but the valid period is limited.

Check

regularly to prevent from unnecessary losses by improper

Maintenance of gear motor refers to

enclosed suppliers document.

Restart agitator

Replace grease in reducer

Remove all covers;

Rotate agitator shaft to check

whether it can rotate freely;

Recommended tightening torque of bolts

All fasteners should be evenly tightened. If they are not properly tightened,

alternating load by vibration or flow counterforce will result in loose of fasteners.

Torque for bolting of shaft and blade, please see the following table. Torque for

other metric bolts tightening in table 2. They are the average value not absolute in

table 3, for reference.
