Government of Telangana ( GoTS) through this policy aims at

creating an Enabling Environment for prospective Solar Power
Developers to harness substantial quantum of Solar Power in the
best possible manner.

Objective : To provide Competitive, Reliable Power supply to

consumers and to have sustainable Fuel Mix in long run.

Benefits For availing benefits under this policy, Power generated from
any above modes has to be consumed within the state.
Solar Roof Top Net Metering OR Goss Metering- Choice of Customer
Projects(SRP) Single Phase: Max. 3 kWp, LT: Max. 56 kWp,
11kV/33kV: >56 kWp-1000kWp
Penetration limit 50%( 2015-16) and 60%(2016-17) of DTR Capacity-For LT
HT Consumers to match SPV capacity to DTR capacity.
Tariff-SRP (TSERC) Monthly Billing & Settlement- 25 year PPA
Gross Metering: @ Average Cost of Service to DISCOM
Net Metering: @ Average pooled Power Purchase cost.
Solar Pump sets Subsidy support & Gross Metering facility extension.

Off Grid Nodal Agency Responsible with DISCOMs

Time Limit Time limit as per the PPA or 2 years from the date of
application- whichever is early ( SPP & Solar Parks)

days of receipt of Application by
DISCOMS/TSTRANSCO
Fees Development charge and layout fee & Permission (incl
bore well) from Gram Panchayat @ Rs. 25,000 per Acre.
VAT/SGST 100% refund for all inputs for Power plant for 5 years
by Commercial Tax Dept.
Stamp Duty Refund for land purchased for Solar Power Plants.

Pollution Control PCB Clearance is given within 1 week by TSPCB

Board Clearance
Factories Act Power Plants will be registered as factories (for the
purpose of labour) within 1 week
