Q1. Describe any situation in your experience where the communication
was a failure. Analyze the barrier(s) which stood in the way of
successful communication. Explain how you would overcome the
barrier(s).

Ans 01:

Situation where Communication was a failure to me:

My friend communicated with me through a message in which he asked my

help in his assignment. When I first read the message I thought that he
would want me to complete his whole assignment on my own.

But when he messaged me again it contained only one question which I had
to complete. This miscommunication which was made during our
conversation is one of the biggest barriers in clear communication which is
called Bypassing.

Analyzing the barrier which stood in clear communication:

Misunderstanding begun when I saw the word help. In this

communication the word help does not have a concrete meaning.

Me and my friend attach to a different word help.

Bypassing is, Miscommunication occur when two individual thinks that they
understand each other but actually they miss each others meanings.

Bypassing lead to a major miscommunication because people assume that

meaning contain in words. Actually the meanings are in people.

Lessons learnt in order to overcome these barriers

of communication:

For communication to be successful the receiver and sender must attach

the same symbolic meanings to their words.

Bypassing can also be avoided if people elaborate on their thought or

meaning behind their thought process. No one can assume that the other
person knows what they mean.
