INSTRUCTION: READ THE GIVEN PASSAGE AND ANSWER THE QUESTION

A long time ago, there were seven states that made up of the Hausa land they were Katsina,
Daura, Kano,Zazzau,Gobir, Rano and Garun Gabas. In the sixteenth century, Queen Bakwa
Turunku built the capital of Zazzau at Zaria which she named after her younger daughter, later on
the whole of Zazzau was renamed Zaria.

It was her elder daughter, the famous Amina who was like her mother, a warrior, Amina was only
sixteen years old when her mother became the queen. She became famous because she was very
brave and fought like a man.

cities until her kingdom reached the sea in the north and west, She led her army as far has Nupe.

Some people says Amina never became the queen, while some says she became queen when her
brother Karama died in the year 1576.
