Notification for admission to M.Phil. in Computer Science and Technology

2017-18
It is here to notify that admission to M.Phil. in Computer Science and Technology is open for
those candidates who fulfill the following eligibility criteria. Those who are interested can
submit their duly filled application forms to the Office of the Chairman, Department of
Studies in Computer Science on or before 26th August 2017 with a Demand Draft (DD) for
Rs. 500/- (Five Hundred Rupees only) in favor of Co-ordinator (Implementation), UPE-
HPC Project payable at Mysore. The admission to M.Phil. is purely based on the marks scored
in the entrance examination which shall be conducted on 4th September 2017. No candidate
shall be provided any financial assistance such as fellowships/Scholarships.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates possessing post-graduate degree with a minimum of 55 percent of marks (50 percent
of marks in case of SC, ST and Cat-1) or equivalent grade in Computer Science / Computer
Applications / Information Technology/ Information Science or in equivalent subjects either
from University of Mysore or from any other recognized university.

It is must that a candidate has to score a minimum of 55% of marks (50% in case of SC/ST/Cat-1
candidate) in the entrance examination to become eligible for M.Phil Admission.

The candidates can obtain the application forms from the office of the Administrative
Officer, Senate Bhavan, Manasagangothri, University of Mysore, Mysuru by paying Rs.
400/- (Four Hundred Rupees only).

The syllabus for the entrance examination is same as the syllabus for the entrance examination of
Ph.D. in Computer Science of University of Mysore which can be seen at http://uni-
mysore.ac.in/sites/default/files/content/computer_science.pdf.
