1 OBJETIVO / OBJECTIVE

Especificar los pasos a seguir para la intalacin de empalmes para cables.

Specify the steps for the installation of splices for wires.

2 ALCANCE / SCOPE

Este documento tiene validez en el mbito de los proyectos realizados por PROTECCIN
CATDICA DE MXICO S.A. DE C.V. que involucren la instalacin de empalmes para cables.

This document is valid in the field of the projects done by PROTECCIN CATDICA DE
MXICO S.A. DE C.V. that involve the installation of wire splices.

3 DEFINICIONES / DEFINITIONS

Empalme: Conexin entre dos circuitos elctricos con transferencia de energa de uno a otro.
Splice: Connection between two electrical circuits with energy transfer from one to another.

Potencial: Relacin de paso de energa de un flujo por unidad de tiempo. (Energa usada por un
equipo)
Potential: Energy flow ratio of one flow per unit of time. (Energy used by a team)

Multmetro: Instrumento elctrico porttil para medir directamente magnitudes elctricas activas
como corrientes o potenciales o pasivas como resistencias, continuidad elctrica, y otras.
Multimeter: Portable electrical instrument for directly measuring active electrical quantities such
as currents or potential or passive ones such as resistances, electrical continuity, and others.

Resistencia: Es la oposicin del paso de corriente elctrica a travs de un conductor.

Resistance: It is the opposition of the passage of electric current through a conductor.

Continuidad elctrica: Es la capacidad de un cuerpo de permitir el paso de corriente elctrica a
