Title: Eva

1. After reading and analyzing this case study, I think that the main
reason where the main character, Eva misbehave is lack of parental
love. This is the obvious cause that leads to the misbehaviour. Apart
from that, there are also some other factors such as lack of guidance,
peer influences and teachers ignorance.
2. I have learned how to deal with student like Eva. I think I am able
to identify their motives of misbehavior and help them understand
what they are doing is wrong. Next, I can help them to change their
mind and motives of doing so by encouraging them.
3. For this case, I think Dreikurs Logical Consequences Model is the
most suitable model to provide the best solution. This is because it is
able to solve the problems occurred when the children behave to gain
attention, power and control, to revenge and to display their
inadequacy.
4. Yes. I enjoyed learning from this case study since it is closely
related to discipline management. I have learnt some ways to
overcome discipline problems in children by using Dreikurs Model.

Title: Grandmas Boy

1. From my reading, I think that overprotection from Justins
grandmother has given Justin a chance to take advantage on it.
Since he knows that her grandma will protect him from teachers
punishment, he does whatever he wants and not thinking about the
consequences of his behaviour.
2. In this case study, I have learnt that overprotection may lead to
some serious impact. I think Thomas Gordon Classroom
Management Model can be suit into this case too.
3. In my opinion, Kounin Group Management Model can provide the
best solution. According to Kounin Model, classroom discipline is
effective if only if teacher monitor what happens in the classroom.
Teacher needs to choose an appropriate moment to anticipate and
stop students inappropriate behaviour before they spread. Besides,
teacher can also manage the classroom effectively by dealing with
more than one situation at the same time.
4. Yes. I enjoyed learning from this case study. This is because I
think I will face this kind of problem after I graduate and become a
teacher in school. I can learn some problem solving skills from this
case to be apply if I face with the same situation as the teacher in the
case study.

Title: Is Kevin Bluffing

1. From my reading and understanding towards the case study, I
found student with psychiatric problem is difficult to handle, especially
for people who are not professional psychiatrist like me. Kevin, a
student mentioned in the text are having behavioural problems,
where he tends to be emotional and aggressive.
2. In this case study, I have learnt that behavioural problems can
caused by several reasons. Take the example of Kevin, he was
abused by his biological father when he was a child. His mothers
remarriage also hurts him so much. His old memories of these
unhappy experiences has influence him to be violent and aggressive.
3. In this case, Canter Assertive Discipline Model is the most suitable
model to be used. When dealing with disruptive behaviour, teacher
should deal with it calmly and quickly. It is important to establish clear
rules and routines besides creating positive teacher-student relations
to reduce or avoid misbehavior.
4. Yes. I enjoyed learning from this case study. This is due to a few
reasons. I personally prefer Canter Assertive Model since it
emphasizes on establishing rules and involves rewards and
punishments to reinforce appropriate behaviour portrayed by the
students.

Title: Li Choo
1. From what I understood, I found out the girl, Li Choo is in a
dilemma. She has a conflict with herself. This is because her father is
having an affair with another woman. Although she knows about it,
she could not bear to tell her mother because her mother suffered
from depression. She is unable to handle this problem, so she
attempted suicide for several times.
2. In this case study, I have learnt that the inability to solve problems
can bring to a serious outcome. It is significant to share problems with
someone you trust to discuss ways to overcome them.
3. I think that Alfie Kohn Beyond Discipline Model can provide the
best solution for the problems. I found it is more important for
students to wrestle with dilemmas, clash with others ideas and take
others needs into account than to follow sets of rules. The conflict
faced by the Li Choo presents golden opportunities for her to learn
and therefore should not be suppressed. The hurtful conflicts need to
be resolved rather than pushed aside.
4. Yes. I enjoyed learning from this case study. I get an idea of having
the students to create the rules and thinking about how everyone
should treat each other when I apply this model in my classroom in
the future.
