2. REHABILITACIN
El manejo de rehabilitacin de la persona con dolor de espalda debe
hacerse con base en objetivos definidos y segn si se trata de un
problema agudo o crnico.

2.2 EJERCICIOS
Las personas con una mejor condicin fsica tienen menos episodios
de dolor lumbar, tanto en frecuencia como duracin, y suelen tener
mejor tolerancia al dolor. Adicionalmente el hallazgo fsico ms
comn en pacientes crnicamente discapacitados por el dolor lumbar
es el desacondicionamiento.(77, 78)

2.3 EDUCACIN
Ms de la mitad de las personas con sntomas dolorosos crnicos
presentan problemas de ajuste psicosocial, siendo uno de los ms
importantes la insatisfaccin laboral y la percepcin de inadecuada
remuneracin. Adems los factores psicolgicos influencian la
respuesta del paciente a cualquier tipo de tratamiento. La presencia
de algn tipo de compensacin en el paciente con dolor lumbar
crnico tiene un efecto adverso en los niveles de dolor, depresin y
discapacidad que reporta el paciente.
