Notes.

Note: In English there is no formal "you" or "you" form. Therefore the natives of the
language do not even have it conceptualized as a form here called "formal". It must be
understood, therefore, that the masculine, feminine and neutral form are the same, the
only thing that differentiates them is the gender.

Also, keep in mind that in English there is only one form for "you" and "you", "you",
except in the reflexive form that distinguishes between singular and plural ones.

Learn to do negative and interrogative sentences
CLASS:

Contents:

Subject pronouns

Object pronouns

Verb be (negative and interrogative statement)

Wh-questions

General Competence:

We identify how we can differentiate a positive sentence from a negative and question

Interesting facts discussed:

To do negative sentences you must add the not and to make interrogative sentences
the verb is placed first in the sentence

Activities during class:

Intraclass work

Work in pairs

Depending on the verb, there are two ways to construct negative sentences:
1. As a general rule, to construct negative sentences we need the auxiliary verb "to
do". We conjugate the auxiliary verb ("to do") in negative sentences. The main verb
goes in the infinitive form.

Subject + auxiliary verb (to do) + negative auxiliary (not) + verb + name adjective ...

10 Examples of negative interrogative sentences:

1. Dont you love this? (No amas esto?).

2. Wouldnt you buy it? (No lo compraras?).

3. Isnt it great? (No es genial?)

4. Werent you there? (No estabas ah?).

5. Arent you together? (No estn juntos?).

6. Wasnt she sick? (No estaba enferma?).

7. Werent we going to the movies? (No bamos al cine?)
