B: The Odeon? Yes, its near here. Go along this road, take the first
right and then the first left. Its on the right.

way?
C: Yes, its about ten minutes walk. Go down this road and turn
right into Brick Road. Then take the first right again. The
gallerys on the left.
C: Youre welcome.

A: Excuse me. Wheres the Ritz Hotel, please?
B: The Ritz? Um, I think its that big hotel at the end of this road.
Keep going past Brick Road and then Oxford Road. Its just after
that, on the right.

near here?

B: Dont worry it is! Its about five minutes walk from here. Take
the first right into Brick Street and then left into Cross Street. The
museums on the left.

B: Yes, Save the Rain Forests. I'm hoping to raise 300 at least.

planet. She won't drive Jack and Megan to school anymore.
They have to go on the bus, or walk!
B: Sounds great to me its good for the kids! But Celias the
same. She recycles all our bottles and newspapers. Its the only
time she uses the car to take all the rubbish to the recycling
centre!
C: Oh, I'm all in favour of that! I spend hours going round the
house, turning off TVs, computers, lights, etc, to save energy.
C: Youre telling me! You won't find a plastic bag in our house! She
only uses paper bags now. What about you, Martin? What are
you doing to save the planet?

it's all going really well. Its gonna be a big success!
A: I hope so. I've just checked the flights on the internet. I haven't
booked one yet I wanted to speak to you first. What are your
plans?
B: For when?
A: OK, so Ill book for the 25th of May if that suits you.
A: About two weeks, maybe three if I can get the time off. There
are so many things I want to see in L.A.
B: And so many places I want to show you! You need at least two
months, not two weeks!
B: Oh, come on Judy! You can all stay at my place here in Beverly
Hills. I have got eight bedrooms, you know and five bathrooms
so we wont need to share! The house is much too big just for
me. Itll be great to have some company.

B: A promotion?!
A: Umm ... er sorry Caroline but the new jobs not in England.
Its in Rome.
B: But they don't speak Italian! How will they make friends?
B: Yes, I suppose youre right ... But what about our parents?
They'll miss us.
A: Yes, and we'll miss them too. But it only takes two hours to fly to
Rome. I'm sure theyll love coming to stay with us.
A: Well, you didnt like it anyway, did you? And you won't have to
work when were in Rome.
B: Great!
A: Yes, it is. You can have dinner included for 50 extra each if you
like?
B: 870. OK, I'll just pay the 200 deposit now if thats all right.
B: Leave Bristol at 4.30 and arrive at 9.15. Thank you very much.
A: You're welcome, sir. We'll send the tickets to you once you've
paid the full amount.
A: Bye, Mr Travis.

was only given three months community service!
B: Well, I'm not sure about that ... but five years at least.

A: No, its for my boyfriend for his birthday. Ill take the medium,

B: Not really, no. Go back down this road and turn right into Prince
Road.
A: Turn right?
B: Yes. Keep going until you get to Queen Street. Turn left into
Queen Street and you'll see the theatre on the right.
A: Queen Street, turn left, on the right. That's very kind of you,
thank you.
B: You're welcome.

B: No, no, it was on time. But the eggs were cold and the sausages
were cooked too much they were almost black. I could hardly
cut them!
A: I'm really sorry about this, sir. We have a new breakfast chef
that might be the reason. Shall I send up another breakfast?
