Project Management Institute, Karachi Pakistan Chapter organized its 110th monthly seminar on
September 02, 2014. Mr. Khawaja Muhammad Nauman, President, Employers Federation of Pakistan
and COO of Magnum Management Solutions (Pvt.) Ltd was the Chief Guest. Mr. Nauman who is a
leader in Business Administration and Human Resource Management and holds a long experience at his
credit appreciated the efforts of PMI Karachi Pakistan Chapter (KPC) on very consistently arranging
monthly seminars on topics related to Project Management and improving soft skills. He shared that being
the President of Employers Federation of Pakistan and having links with some of the donor agencies,
I am aware the difficulties our managers face even in the preparation of a project. He added that
existence of all NGOs and many organizations depend on the availability of the projects and its successful
implementation. He expressed his hope that PMI Karachi Pakistan Chapter will be of much assistance to
Employers Federation of Pakistan, which is the voice of business and also in service to our members
through a variety of projects. Mr. Khauja Nauman also appreciated the interactive session conducted by
the speaker of the day Mr. Asadullah Chaudhry on the topic An Organization within an Organization.

Mr. Asad Ullah Chaudhry, the speaker of PMI KPC 110th monthly seminar conducted a much needed, an
eye opening and interactive session for professionals at senior level. Mr. Chaudhry differentiated the
project and program concepts with local and international examples, shared his past experiences of
designing them as organization to achieve the strategic objectives, provided the insights for managing the
multimillion dollar initiatives with risk management, and importantly gave examples of transforming the
strategic objectives into benefits for program management, and benefits into deliverables for project
management.

Mr. Asghar Ali Syed, Executive Vice President of the Chapter, presented the vote of thanks to the Chief
Guest, speaker of the day and attendees of the event including KPC members and other industry
professionals. He requested KPC members to encourage BOD efforts through active participation in all
events of the Karachi Chapter. He appreciated the efforts of the event organizing volunteers. Mr. Syed
invited all to join the chapter as a volunteer and introduced Mr. Aamir Parach, VP Volunteer Services for
further connection and volunteers registrations. He briefly put on record the activities of PMI Karachi
Pakistan Chapter and also requested the members for active participation in forthcoming AGM and the
Election 2015. EVP responding to the offer of Mr. Khauja Mohammad Nauman agreed to work closely for
promotion of much needed Project Management culture in the industry and especially for members of
Employers Federation of Pakistan.
KPC seminar was conducted by Mr. Fahad Ahmed, Vice President Governance & Policy and Mr. Mustafa
Bhaiwala, Vice President Professional Development & Education. Mementoes of the event were presented
