Dear Parents/Guardians,
Welcome to the 2017-2018 academic year at Froebels International School. We hope you had a
wonderful summer with your children who are now well rested and energized for the exciting
year we have planned for them.
To ensure your child has a successful start to the year, we request your support with ensuring
that s/he has a healthy breakfast, comes to school on time, in proper uniform and with all his or
her school supplies.
Please read through the information given to acquaint you with our school routine. We
appreciate your complying with our rules and being patient with our security staff who have
been directed to strictly enforce rules with respect to parking, deliveries and visitor hours.
Regular School Timings:

Kindergarten& Preparatory 08:00 a.m. to 01:15 p.m. 08:00 a.m. to 12:10p.m.
Primary Years 07:50 a.m. to 01:45 p.m. 07:50 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Years 1 - 5
Lower Secondary Years 6-8 07:50 a.m. to 01:45 p.m. 07:50 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Upper Secondary 07:50 a.m. to 02:00 p.m. 07:50 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Pick up and drop off must be done at the gate. Nobody other than the student will be allowed on
campus.
Drop off Routine
Parents are requested to drop off their child at the main school gate for Year 2 to A2, at the
Early Years main gate for Early Years and at House 13 main gate for Year 1.
Please be informed that the lane in front of the school is solely a drop off lane. No parking
will be allowed.
Home-time Routine
For improved security and safety, we will be issuing student pickup cards for all students
up to Lower Secondary level. The individual authorised to pick up the student will be
required to carry the card in order for the school guard to allow the student to leave the
premises. Pickup cards will be issued and this plan will be implemented by the end of
August. Your cooperation with the school staff in this effort is requested.
Parents of Early Years students may collect their child(ren) from the Early Years school
gate. You are requested not to park directly in front of the school building to ensure safety
of all and the smooth flow of traffic.
Parents of Primary Years, Lower and Upper Secondary are requested to collect their
child(ren) from the main school gate only. Please have your childs name, class and section
 announced at the beginning of the street and the gate to prevent overcrowding within the
school.
Visitor Timings
The school guards have been instructed not to accept any deliveries during school hours.
Therefore you are requested to ensure that your child(ren) bring their lunch box and
school supplies with them when they come to school.
Parents and visitors will only be allowed on campus by prior appointment or after 1:45
p.m.
Parents and visitors must deposit their original NIC at the gate when they arrive for their
appointments.
Please note that you may only enter campus at the scheduled time.
Contact Information
Please ensure that the school has your current contact information. This is vital in case of
emergencies as well as for regular updates. This information must be provided to the campus
Business Office.
Medication
If your child needs to take medication at school, please bring a doctors note with specific instructions.
Absences
When your child returns to school after an absence, please send a brief note, dated and signed by you,
explaining the absence.
Labelling
Please put your childs name on coats, sweaters, snacks, bags and notebooks to ensure that misplaced
items are returned to you.
Student Store - Books and Uniform
The Student Store regular timings for parents are from 1:45 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.
In addition to the afternoon timings, there will be morning timings from 8:00 a.m. until
10:00 a.m. only for the first week of school.
Uniform
The basic school uniform is available from Hussain and Co. and Ashar Uniforms.
All uniform items with the official school logo are available from the Student Store on campus.
ID Cards
ID Cards will be issued to all students, which they will be required to wear and display at
all times while on campus.
