An important message to eFilm Workstation 2.0 Downloaders regarding installation:

(If you are a current FUSION PACS or FUSION RIS/PACS customer, it is not recommended that you install eFilm Workstation 2.0.
There is a new product called FUSION eFilm 2.0 that is available that is optimized for your application(s). Please contact
bfrost@merge-efilm.comto request additional information regarding FUSION eFilm 2.0 )

When you start up eFilm Workstation 2.0 for the first time you will see a new login screen. This
new feature allows you to control access to patient data that eFilm provides. This message will
help you configure your login.

The login screen should have a Settings button. (If you do not see the Settings button, log out of
Windows and log in again as a user with Administrator privileges. If you are running Windows XP
be sure to log out
before you login - do not switch users using the fast switching option that XP provides).

This message describes 2 options:

1. You can choose to bypass authentication altogether.

2. If you login to your Windows system via a Windows Domain, you can use the same Windows
Domain server to have eFilm perform user validation.

Bypass Authentication:
- Click on the Settings button on the login screen. The Login properties page will appear. At the
bottom left is a box controlling whether authentication is bypassed. Check this box. Click Ok. The
login screen will reappear and you will now see that no password is required. Type any username
you wish and eFilm will start. It is recommended that you use your usual login name, and use it
every time you login, since eFilm will identify
your user profile by means of this login.

Login Via a Windows Domain:

- Click on the Settings button on the login screen. The Login properties page will appear. At the
bottom left is a box controlling whether authentication is bypassed. If this box is checked, click in it
to clear it. At the right side you will see a Type drop-down menu. Ensure that the Domain option is
chosen. Specify a short description and the Domain Name. Click Add, then select the Domain
from the list above where it appears and click Verify. If the verification fails, check that the specified
Domain Server is accessible from your machine, and that you have correctly specified its location.
If you feel there is no error, contact your system administrator. If you are still unsuccessful,
contact Merge eFilm's help desk, and in the meantime, use the instructions above to bypass
authentication.
