GRADUATION RITES

ENTRANCE PROCESSION
All other guests must be seated inside before the entrance procession.
MC:
The entrance is preceded by the candidates for graduation, followed by the faculty members, upon
reaching their respective seats, they remain standing.
Then follows the Faculty Chairman and the Dean of Studies with the Guest Speaker/CHED
representative, the Board of Directors and the President.
Please be aware that we will not ask them to be seated, for the program will commence once the
President has reached his place. The Master of Ceremonies greets the whole assembly.

The Flag of the Republic will be spotlighted, where it is placed at the side of the stage, together with the
Flag of Saint Paul Seminary and the Flag of Vatican City.
After the singing of the National Anthem, the opening prayer For Our Nation will be played.
OPENING WELCOME
The Vice-Rector goes to the ambo and gives a brief Opening Welcome.
After the Opening Welcome, he will be assisted back to his seat, and the rites continue.

Thank you Father Vice Rector. The Academic Year 2016 2017
was a fruitful year, not only for the graduates, but also the whole
St. Paul Seminary Community as well. At this very moment, we
welcome the Saint Paul Seminary Rector and Dean of Studies,
Rev. Fr. Norman Melchor Pea, Jr, SSP, PhD, for his Brief Overview
of Academic Year 2016 2017.
The Rector/ Dean of Studies goes to the ambo and gives the brief Overview of Academic Year.
After the Opening Remarks, Rector/Dean of Studies will be assisted to stand aside, rites will continue.

present the candidates for graduation of the Academic Year
2016 - 2017 to the Reverend Father Jose Aripio, SSP, President of
Saint Paul Seminary Foundation, Inc.

The Father Dean/Rector will call the candidates one by one, per congregation, to be acknowledged.

Reverend Fr. Jose Aripio, SSP, Rev. Dr. Norman Melchor Pea Jr.
SSP, Faculty, families, guests, ladies and gentlemen, good
morning.
It may be a clich, but it is indeed an honor to introduce to you
a prolific Bible Scholar and an educator, a brave woman that
ventured on both consecrated life and the academe.
She is a perpetual member of the Daughters of St. Paul,
Philippine, Thailand, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea Province.
She obtained her Master of Arts in Theology and her Doctorate
of Philosophy in Theology from the Ateneo de Manila University,
her Bachelor in Sacred Theology from the Pontifical Gregorian
University in Rome, her Licentiate in Sacred Scriptures from the
Pontifical Biblical Institute in Rome, and her Doctorate in Sacred
Theology in the Loyola School of Theology.
She currently teaches Letters of St. Paul and Biblical Greek at the
Loyola School of Theology, Divine Word School of Theology, and
Don Bosco Center of Studies.
She has written several published works which includes Glimpses
of Paul and His Message in 2008 and Pauline Quest which was
also released on the same year.
Reverend Fathers, Faculty, friends, ladies and gentlemen, an
educator, a Bible Scholar, and a Daughter of St. Paul let us
welcome our guest speaker for the 51st Commencement
Exercises, Sr. Bernardita Dianzon, FSP, SThD, PhD.
After the speech, Sr. Bernie will be assisted back to her seat. The rite continues.

Before we proceed to the singing of the Batch Graduation Song

taking in the following sequence:
The graduates will go up on stage, do the picture taking sequence. After every sequence, one by one, the
faculty, administration, then the guest speaker will leave the stage and proceed in the singing of the
Alma Mater Hymn and Batch Graduation Song.

Hymn, Sedbeed of Love.
The Seedbed of Love is sung by the graduates and, if possible, by the whole academic community.Then
