Purpose
Thisstocktransferinvolvesnotonly InventoryManagement butalso Purchasing inthereceiving
plant.ThegoodsissuepostinginInventoryManagementiscarriedoutwithouttheinvolvementof
Sales (SD).
Astocktransportorderwithoutdeliveryispossibleonlyinatwostepprocedure.
Thisstocktransferhasthefollowingcharacteristics:
Thequantitypostedfromstockisfirstofallmanagedasstockintransitofthereceivingplant.
Thequantityisfirstpostedtotheunrestrictedusestockofthereceivingplantinthegoodsreceipt
posting.
Thisenablesthequantity"ontheway"tobechecked.
Youcanenterdeliverycostsinthestocktransportorder.
Thetransferpostingisvaluatedatthevaluationpriceofthematerialintheissuingplant.
Iftheplantsinvolvedbelongtodifferentcompanycodes,thetransferbetweenplantsisalsoa
transferbetweencompanycodes.Inthiscase,thesystemcreatestwoaccountingdocuments
whenthegoodsissueisposted.Thestockpostingisoffsetagainstacompanycodeclearing
account.

1. Stocktransportorderinthereceivingplant
Thereceivingplantentersastocktransportorderwithordertype StockTransportOrder, item
categoryU (Stocktransfer). Thestocktransportorderisusedtoplanthemovement.
Fromthemenu,choose Purchasing PurchaseOrder Create Vendor/SupplyingPlant
Known.
SeeStockTransferinPurchasing
2. Agoodsissueintheissuingplant
Theissuingplantpoststhegoodsissuetothestocktransportorder.
Thematerialispostedtotransitstockofthereceivingplantwithmovementtype351.(See
DisplayingStockinTransit)

PurchaseOrder .
