Schedule40pipeendsareintendedtobethreaded,rollgrooved,cutgrooved,orplain.Schedule10pipeendsareintendedtoberollgrooved
orplain.

SteelpipehavinglesserwallthicknessesthanunthreadedSchedule40pipemaybethreaded,rollgrooved,orplainendasindicatedinthe
individualcertifications.ThreadingrequirestheuseofthreadgaugesconformingtothedimensionsofASMEB1.20.1,"PipeThreads,General
Purpose."Thispipehasbeeninvestigatedforbothmechanicalstrengthandrelativecorrosionresistanceexpressedintermsofacorrosion
resistanceratio(CRR).Thisratioforeachsizepipeisdefinedasfollows:

Thecorrosionperformanceofsteelpipecanvarydependingonthecompositionofthesteelofwhichitisformed,thecompositionofthe
