Topic : The process of world creation

General purpose : To inform

Specific purpose : To inform my audience about the process how the

world was created.

Central idea : The two major assumptions about world creation

one is scientific view and another is religious belief.

Main points :

1. The first major assumption about world creation is

religious belief.
2. The second major assumption about world creation
is scientific view.

We certainly know that our universe exists, but we dont know how the world was
created and this curiosity has led us to ask ourselves some questions such as: How
did our universe begin? How old is our universe? How did matter come to exist?
Infect; these are the questions that people have asked ever since they could ask
anything, but man still has yet to answer .Obviously, these are not simple questions
since there is no firm evidence about the world creation. So, we are trying to
inform you the two major existing assumptions of world creation on the basis of
process style. These two major existing assumptions are Religious belief and
scientific theory.

1. Religious belief

i. Muslim Creation Story

For Muslims believe there is only one God who created everything. And when God
wants to create something, all he needs to say is "Be", and it becomes. So it was
God who created the world, and the sun, moon and the stars to dwell in the
universe. He only formed people with own hands.

ii. Buddhism Creation Story

Buddhism does not believe in creation and destruction According to them, no

creation, only change. There is No start and no end. It just exists.

iii. Christian Creation Story

Like Muslim, Christians believe that God created the world. According to Bible
scripture, God created the world in "7 creative days At first, the earth was
shapeless and covered in darkness, and God's spirit hovered over the waters. Then
God created the world by following bellow steps:

First day, Light, with Day and Night,

Second day, Sky,

Third day, Sea and Plants,

Forth day, Land, Sun, Moon and Stars,

Fifth day, Animals of the sea and air,

Sixth day, Animals of the land, and Man,

Finally at seventh day, God took Rest after all his creation.

iv. Hinduism Creation Story

Hinduism is very complex because there are several creation stories and several
god and goddess. But most of them Lord Brahman is the creator. They believe in a
cyclic process of creation and destruction of the world and this cycle is going on
alternatively .Basically, this is not the first world, nor the first universe. There have
been and will be many more worlds and universes like it. This concept is also
accepted by Buddhist Dharma.

Scientific view

There are several scientific theories on how the Earth was created; the most
popular scientific theory is the Big Bang Theory. This theory states that the
universe came about from an explosion .According to the theory, initially the
universe was significantly smaller than even a pore on our skin and hotter and
denser than anything we can imagine. Then about 14 billion years ago it suddenly
exploded and the space in the universe expanded very quickly like a big bang. This
theory also states that there was nothing existed before the big bang, not even
space. Scientists like Steven Hawking and George Ellis also agree in the point that
space and time were created after the big bang. Today, just about every scientist
believes in the big bang model. Even in 1951, the Catholic Church officially
pronounced the big bang model to be in accordance with the Bible.

In the conclusion, we can say many people believe in the Big Bang, and many do
not. It is all depend on their own belief and opinion. But as a Muslim, I believe it
was made by God for a specific reason. It wasn't all just a coincidence or explosion
of matter as Science defined because science can prove everything but they cant
prove how the first spec of life was made. I believe in Allah and Quran .So, I prefer
to believe in Muslim creation story. And Its your choice which story you will
believe or which not.
