FactoryTalk Vantage Point EMI Mobile Capabilities

This Lab introduces you to the new Mobile centric features of FactoryTalk VantagePoint: Mobile Site.
FactoryTalk VP Mobile Site is available as an install option on the VantagePoint installation DVD. In
this lab and Mobile site, you will see how to:
Create Ad-hoc displays. On supported smartphones, you can create trends and dashboards.
On supported tablets or a desktop with Google Chrome, you can create:
Indicators
Value boxes
Gauges
Trends
Trend Reports (that appear in the Portal)
SSRS and Excel Reports (that appear in the Portal)

FactoryTalk
XY Plot Reports (that appear in the Portal)
Save personal user profiles (Favorites)
Add public and private content
Create model views

FactoryTalk EnergyMetrix Lab

The lab shows how to introduce tags from W.A.G.E.S. type energy monitors / meters and then
demonstrates various ways to look at data collected by FactoryTalk EnergyMetrix. Look at trends
and reports that show the behavior of an electrical load over time. You will also use FactoryTalk
on Tour 2015
EnergyMetrix to view load profiles from energy and environmental meters. Demand trends can
identify periodic peaks which may be caused by process variable, schedules, or environmental
conditions and represent opportunities for cost savings.

FactoryTalk View SE Lab: Design and Deploy

This hands-on lab focuses on basic FactoryTalk View Site Edition concepts, including the setup,
configuration and maintenance of a FactoryTalk View SE application. Other topics covered will include
backup and restore, patching, application optimization, documenting an application and log file
configuration and investigation. What you will accomplish in this lab -- As you complete the exercises
in this hands-on session, you will gain a thorough understanding of installation, configuration, and
maintenance of a FactoryTalk View Site Edition system. You will also gain an understanding of the
functionality and capability of FactoryTalk View Site Edition.

Welcome to the Hands-On Lab for FactoryTalk AssetCentre Basic Operation to Advanced
Configuration. This lab has two main sections: Basic and Advanced, with the latter comprised of a
series of stand-alone appendices. If you have minimal to no exposure to FactoryTalk AssetCentre, then Events held at McNaughton-McKay - Columbus Office
the basic section of the lab is for you. The basic section provides you with an opportunity to explore
FactoryTalk AssetCentre Core and Extended features. Core features include: Version control for

factory floor assets like ControlLogix, PLC5, SLC500, Panel View Plus, Drives, etc. Extended features
include Disaster Recovery for these devices.

FactoryTalk Metrics Lab Introduction Lab What can it do?
FactoryTalk Metrics is a solution for optimizing production efficiency by monitoring equipment
downtime causes, part counts, bottlenecks, and other production events. For each work cell in your
facility, FactoryTalk Metrics monitors Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE), which is a measure of
availability, production rates, and quality. This lab focuses entirely on the Report Expert reporting
environment that comes with FactoryTalk Metrics. The lab concentrates on how to use the Report
Expert user interface to perform ad-hoc reporting, and how to interpret the data the resulting data.
FactoryTalk Historian SE Basic Lab
This session provides you with an opportunity to explore FactoryTalk Historian Site Edition v4.00.
FactoryTalk Historian Site Edition is a solution for optimizing your manufacturing process through the
analysis of historical data. Historian provides the capability to collect, store, analyze, and visualize data
using a powerful capturing engine and a powerful set of reporting tools (such as time-series trends, bar
chart, pie chart, and tabular) and easily generate reports using Microsoft Excel.
FactoryTalk Vantage Point EMI Basic Lab Building an Information System
This Hands-on lab provides an opportunity to learn how to build an Information System on your
Integrated Architecture using FactoryTalk VantagePoint EMI. FactoryTalkVantagePoint EMI is
a powerful web-based reporting package that brings all data together into a single information
management and decision support system. The VMWare image for this Lab uses various Rockwell
Automation software products to demonstrate FactoryTalk VantagePoint EMIs ability to bring data
together from multiple sources into a single reporting view.
