A. Background information

approximately there are 3.17 billion people worldwide access internet and
computer.
2. In this twentieth century, nearly everything in this world is helped or even
more controlled by internet and computer.
3. The question is How can we live without internet nowadays?
B. Thesis statement
Computer and internet are used by college students for three major purposes, such
as for studying, communicating, and entertaining.

II. Studying: The first purpose for college students use computer is helping them in
studying and doing their tasks.
A. Computer and internet help college students to get newest information in a blink of
eyes.
1. Computer and internet provide various kind source of knowledge which are
needed by college students to do their task and research.
2. Computer and internet also help college student to get up to date issue just by
one click.
B. Computer and internet also give backing up data service for college students in a
wide range capacity.
1. There are millions journals which can be accessed by college students in digital
form which can minimize time and spaces.
2. A huge amount of general knowledge are transferred and sent through
computer and internet every second.

III. Communicating : Besides helping them to study and doing their research, the second
purpose of using internet and computer is to communicate globally.
A. One of internet and computer service related to communication is chatting service
which can be found in all social media.
1. Since the number of email users worldwide is estimated around 2.6 billion
people, it can be said that sending email still becomes an important way for
computer or internet users in communicating (Radiati Group survey).
2. Almost 1.71 million active users who are dealing with Facebook per month and
it increases 15% each year which means Facebook is too big to be ignored.
 B. Another communication service that is provided by computer and internet is
making video call.
1. One of the most well known services in video calling is Skype which can covers
spaces in a short time and connect people around the world easily.
2. Video call activity also can be done through line application which becomes very
famous among the students.

IV. Enjoying entertainment : In addition to studying and communicating, enjoying the

entertainment is another purpose of internet using.
A. Computer and internet also provide their users by numbers of games which can help
them to release stress and get some fun.
1. One of a trending topic computer is Pokemon GO which allows you to find and
catch more than a hundred species of Pokmon as you explore your
surroundings.
2. Another game which also entertaining is COC (Clash of Clans) which tasks
players to build their own town using the resources gained from attacking other
players through the game's fighting features.
B. Internet and computer users get entertainment not only by playing computer
games but also through listening to the music.
1. People can download or upload thousands of songs through any music websites
or blogs without buying any CDs or cassettes.
2. Computer users also can be entertained by Smule application in which they can
do karaoke and socialize with other users who have the same favourite music.

V. Conclusion
A. In conclusion, we can see that computer and internet impact college students life in
the term of learning or getting education, communicating to others and also getting
fun through games and music.
B. Since computer and internet are really affect our life, we have to use internet in the
wise way so that we can maximize its advantages for our future life.
