3. Pupils were asked to fill in the mind mapping based on the words discussed.
4. Teacher asks the pupils to put the information correctly.
5. Teacher asks the pupils to work in pairs and answer the questions post by their

ACTIVITIES 1) Teacher pastes the letter card on board using some blue tacks to review the
phonics they had learnt before. (print, laminate & cut the letter card before use in
class).
2) Ask pupils to say the phonics.
3) Teacher pastes the new sound card on board. /ay/
4) Teacher says the /ay/ sound. Pupils repeat.
5) Teacher takes the letter card and paste beside the sound card. Ask pupils to
blend it to make a word.
6) Write the word on board.
7) Change with another letter card to make more words (refer textbook) and list
on board.
8) Segment & blend the words on board.
9) Change with /ou/ sound and repeat step 3,4,5,6,7 & 8.
10) Pupils read aloud the story at page 71.
