GLOBAL CLIMATE CHANGE

i. Definition

ii challenges posed by climate change

A. Global emissions of Green House Gases which causes global warming and for that matter change
keeps on rising.

According to scientist the earth is heating and heading for a four degrees cell temperature rise by the
year 2100 if current trends continue.

ii (a) Human activities that change the atomsphere are green house Gases (GHG) which traps and builds
up heat in the atmosphere near the earth . Some of the heat flowing back towards space from the earth
surface is absorbed by the ozone and several other Gases in the atmosphere and then graduated back
towards the earth surface. This is known as global warming.

B. Green house Gases includes but are not limited to the following:

. Co2

. Ch4 (

. N2o (nitro oxide)

. O3 (ozone)

. Sf3 ( sulphur
