Topic:

Dear students!
We will learn a lesson today that is Tyler and Hilda Model. The topic is also

written on the white board.

Theme:

The theme of lesson is summarized as The Tyler Model, developed by Ralph Tyler in the

1940s. The brilliance of Tylers model is that it was one of the first models also called objective

model and it was and still is a highly simple model consisting of four steps:

1. Determine the schools purposes (objectives)

2. Identify educational experiences related to purpose

3. Organize the experiences

4. Evaluate the purposes

The Taba Model Another approach to curriculum development was proposed by Hilda Taba in

her book Curriculum Development: Theory and Practice published in 1962. An inductive

approach to curriculum development, starting with specifics and building up to a general design.

1. Diagnosis of learners needs and expectations of the larger society.

2. Formulation of learning objectives.

3. Selection of the learning content.

4. Organization of learning content.

5. Selection of the learning experiences.

6. Organization of learning activities.

7. Determination of what to evaluate and the means of doing it.

Use of Visual Diagrams:

Revision/Assessment of topic:

feedback to identify and use of effective strategies. Reflect what to do next and how to improve

quality of learning experiences and revised the topic if someone need further explanation to

clarify thy concept of both models.

Home Work:
