LANKEM HIGH BUILD EPOXY PAINT

A solvent-borne two component (Epoxy-Polyamide) high performance, durable coating for interior use, over
coated or uncoated concrete, stone, metal and wood floor surfaces, Have very good Resistant to impact,
abrasion, scuffing, spillages of oils, petrol, detergents and dilute aqueous chemical solutions.

PROPERTIES
Drying Time Under normal drying conditions surface dry in 3-4 hours, recoatable after 24
hours and Allow for adequate ventilation during the drying period. Recoat
within 48 hours.

Composition Pigment: Titanium Dioxide, Colour Pigments and Extenders.

Resin: Epoxy ester/Polyamide.
Solvent: Xylene/ Alcohol

Spreading Rate 6-8 m per kg @ 100 microns WFT depending on surface texture

Wet Film Thickness 100 microns at 6-8 m per kg

Dry Film Thickness 70 microns at 6-8 m per kg

VOC Content EU limits value for this product (cat. A/i): 600 g/l (2007) / 500 g/l (2010).
This product contains max. 197 g/l VOC

Limitations For interior use only and Do not apply when air or substrate temperatures are
likely to fall below 5C or when the relative humidity is above 80% during
application or the drying period.
PREPARATION
New Surfaces All surfaces must be sound, clean, suitably dry and free from anything that
will interfere with the adhesion of the materials to be applied. Remove any
site debris and sweep floor clean. Any oil or grease from site plant/ works
must be removed with a detergent Use Lankem Tepol. Floor areas to be
coated should be acid etched to remove surface laitance, using a Lankem
Kemikote Etching Solution diluted in accordance with the Label
instructions. Rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove all residues. Allow
to dry. Prime all areas to be coated with one coat of Lankem Kemikote
Primer.
Previously Decorated Surfaces All surfaces must be clean, dry and free from anything that will interfere with
the adhesion of the materials to be applied. Remove loose and failing material
by scraping or brushing with a stiff bristle brush to a sound edge. Any oil,
grease, polish etc must be removed with a detergent Use Lankem Tepol. For
surface dirt, wash with hot water and liquid detergent solution to remove any
contaminants, frequently changing the water. Rinse thoroughly with clean
water to remove all residues. Allow to dry. Feather edges of sound coatings
and mechanically dry abrade any glossy surfaces to provide rough surface.
Remove all dust by vacuum cleaning. Patch prime all bare areas (including
any areas of making good) with one coat of Lankem Kemikote Primer,
thinned up to 10-15 % by volume with fresh water. Bring forward with one
coat of Lankem High Build Epoxy Paint within 48 hours of drying Lankem
Kemikote Primer.

COATING SYSTEM Apply one coat of Lankem Kemikote Primer and two coats Lankem High
Build Epoxy Paint

APPLICATION Stir Colour Base well and mix Base to hardener 2 : 1 ratio by weight and mix
till the mixture is homogeneous. Once mixed, Lankem High Build Epoxy
Paint has pot life of 4-5 hour only. It hardens cannot be used thereafter. Apply
two coats by Brush, Roller or Spray. Maintain a wet edge. The second coat
must be applied within 48 hours.

CLEANING Return surplus material to container and clean with a proper cleaner
immediately after use

HEALTH AND SAFETY
Please refer to the Safety, Health and Environmental Information on the
container and Material Safety Data Sheet. When preparing all surfaces avoid
the inhalation of dust and/or metal particles. Wear a suitable facemask. Store
in secure, dry conditions and inaccessible to children or animals. Containers
should be kept closed during storage. Do not empty into drains, watercourses
or access routes to septic tanks.

GENERAL INFORMATION Under normal and frost free conditions this product will remain usable for up
to two years if stored correctly and unopened.
