LETTER OF COMPLAIN/APPEAL

I humbly wish to forward the above subject matter to you for appropriate action it
deserved.

I am State Assistant Secretary-General of (RATTAWU) and also Committee

Secretary for the propose Workshop/Award presentation organize by the State
Council of our great union, as part of the effort to move the union forward.

One incident happened on the 7 th June, 2008 between State Assistant Secretary
in person of Nuhu Sani Yakasai and the Chapel Chairman of CTV-67 in person of
Yakubu Lawan Yakasai,

According to the rules and regulation of the union as I know before in RATTAWU
if somebody insult another person during the meeting the constitution mandated
and give the power to the chairman of the meeting to serve whoever violate the
constitution of the union with suspension letter or a strong warning, and it should
be before the meeting closed.

To my surprise, the state chairman and other executive council are there present
that chairman attempt to beat me in the hall of the meeting but the state
chairman ordered the prayer to close the meeting although, the State Secretary
General raised an alarm to the chairman to consider what the constitution says in
that area of insulting anybody at the venue of the meeting, but the chairman use
his power and experience to close the meeting.
Even though, I am aware of lack of understanding the responsibilities and
schedule of duties from our leaders of today which if considered that what make
our union backward especially in Kano State.
We respect the decision of the chairman, but I call the attention of other
executive that in their present the saw and witness what happened to me from
the chapter level what do they expect in the future coming, of course they all
agree with me what happen is unfortunate, therefore, the chairman promised to
take the decision on Tuesday. The incident happened in the present of four
chapter chairmen and their secretaries except the CTV-67 were the chairman
represent the secretary.

The chapters in attendance is as followed:-

a) Radio Kano Chapter

b) CTV-67
c) History & Culture
d) Censorship Board.

In order to respect the constitution of the union I do not respond to him. In view of
the foregoing, I write to laid down my complain to you so as to see weather
RATTAWU stand still on the constitution process or not before I pursue the
matter to industrial court for defamation of character so as to fight for my
constitutional right.

I am grateful for the intervention of the National officers into this unbecoming
behavior in the history of Rattawu Kano State council.
