Description - ICT Olympiad

Competition Brief
Knowledge Hub - Techno kids Olympiad, 2015 extends a warm welcome to all esteemed schools and
their students!

Techno kids Olympiad is an online I.T. Olympiad in India. An event on ICT (Information and
Communications Technology), it covers topics in information technology integration with real time
application in the 21st century world, Participants get to learn new concepts and ideas which may
help boost their confidence through ICT which additionally helps them shaping their future in this
exciting field by applying the ICT skill.

Eligibility:
It is open to all the schools recognized by the state, central education board/ International board.
For a trouble-free co-ordination between schools and their students and us, do identify a contest
coordinator at your end who shall co-ordinate with us.

Competition Rounds
First Stage
In the first round candidates will be students of your school who have registered their names
on the ICT Olympiad website.
The venue of the First Round will be your own school premises.
Subject teacher (Non-technical tutor) of your school will be exam invigilator.
Time Limit for this round will be 30 minutes.
Number of Questions appearing in the exam are 45 multiple choices.
Level of complexity ranges from basic to medium and Expert levels based on the academic
level of the students.

Second Stage
The second round will be conducted for the top 10 scorers of each category (Junior,
Intermediate, and Senior) from the 1st Round of ICT Olympiad.
The venue for the Second Round will be Techno kids Hyderabad for which selected
students and one teacher accompanying him will be reimbursed with return tickets (Train
3 tier AC / AC Volvo Bus). Accommodation will be provided by Techno kids.
Time Limit for this round is 60 minutes.
Number of Questions appearing in the exam is 100 of multiple choices.

Categories and winners are the top 2 scorers from each category:
1. Junior - Grade 5th and 6th
2. Intermediate - Grade 7th, 8th, 9th
3. Senior - Grade 10th, 11th , 12th

Top two scorers in each Category will be declared as the Techno kids ICT Olympiad National level
Techno Champion (1st Prize) and Techno Winner (2nd Prize)

Winning School(s) shall be awarded the "Grand Techno kids Olympiad Rolling Trophy":

The Coordinator from the winning school shall be rewarded with Best Techno Coordinator School

All the students appearing in the contest will get free online access to one
Techno kids curriculum project based on age group an E-copy of Participation
Certificate from Techno kids.

Working with text in MS-PowerPoint, Multimedia.

Intermediate:
Introduction to Computers, Computer Generations, Computer Peripherals.

MS-Word: Features, Creating Table, Working with objects in MS-Word, Advanced Features.

MS-PowerPoint Presentations: Introduction, creating a presentation, Backgrounds and slide

organization, Adding Graphics and organization charts, Enlivening a Presentation, Microsoft Excel,

Microsoft Excel: Editing Cell Contents, Formatting Data in MS-Excel, Formulae in MS-Excel,
Advanced Features of MS-Excel, Creating charts, Internet.
