Preparation 1. The teacher arranges students into a horseshoe shape (see
appendix 1). 1. 2. The teacher tells students 6 wild animals are trapped in a box upon a table (see appendix 2) and in order to set them free, they have to call out their names which are stuck on the board (see appendix 3). 3. The teacher drills the name of each one by one until the six are in the childrens sight. (e.g. This is a lion) 4. Afterwards, the teacher asks students the following question Which is bigger? The lion or the elephant? to which students accompanied by the teacher answer The elephant is bigger 5. The teacher continues asking them questions about the wild animals and different adjectives such as big, small, fast, slow, tall, short, colorful, beautiful, etc. which are shown on the board into its corresponding comparative form divided in two groups (see appendix 4) teacher, at all times, drills the question and the answer along with students. 6. Then, the teacher divides students in two groups (A and B). After that, he asks another question e.g. which is faster? This time the teacher only listens to the answer given chorally by students. 7. Following, the teacher gives another demonstration to the class and continues doing so telling them that this time he will ask a question to a pair of students (one from each group) and the one who knows the answer will have to lift the puppet up and say the answer loud to the class, and if it is correct the group will obtain a point. 8. The group with more points at the end of the competition will be the winner. Time Roughly fifteen to twenty minutes.
