CITY ORDINANCE NO. 2009-01

AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING AN NEW RATE OF

FARE ON ALL TRICYCLES FOR HIRE PLYING WITHIN
THE CITY OF CABADBARAN, AGUSAN DEL NORTE.

Whereas, the price of fuel, oil and lubricant had already gone down
much lower than the price in early 2008;

Whereas, with the present price index, the riding public prayed to roll
back the fare rate of all tricycles for hire plying within this City;

Whereas, the City Government recognizes that the present economic

situation calls for reasonable roll back of fare in fairness to the riding public
and the welfare of transport sector.
BE IT ORDAINED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod, in its 64 th Regular
Session, assembled, that:

SECTION 1. The new rate of fare shall be as follows:

SECTION 2. All minors, students, persons with disabilities and senior

citizens shall be given a maximum of 20% discount of the above-stated fares.

SECTION 3. Any person found violating any provision of this ordinance

shall be fined Five Hundred Pesos (P500.00).

SECTION 4. Tricycle drivers must display conspicuously the schedule of

fares or tariffa in their tricycles.

a. Only original tariffa duly signed by the City Mayor must be displayed,
after payment of P1.00 to cover the printing expenses.

b. Displaying of damaged, dilapidated or altered tariffa is prohibited.

SECTION 5. All ordinances or parts thereof inconsistent to this ordinance

are hereby repealed or modified accordingly.

SECTION 6. This ordinance shall take effect upon approval of this

ordinance.
