B. Action Steps:
Look for listening activities themed to chapter vocab or relevant cultural topics. Create
multiple choice questions based on the listening. Practice in class with and without a script.
D. Collaboration: List the collaborative partners you can reach out to (coach, lead, model,
peers) and describe how they will support you.
Katie Buchter and I will work together on this goal.
F. End of Plan Review: Summarize your progress on your Career Development Plan
from this past year. Summary could include a reflection on your goal, how you and/or your
students have grown as learners, artifacts you have collected this year, how this fits into the
Iowa Teaching Standards, or other key points you would like to share. Submit to
administrator when the plan is completed or by the end of the year.
I would say this year Katie & I started to process how to add more listening into our
curriculum and that I look forward to the summer to look for authentic listening sites that go
along with our curriculum. Having the time to plan out the listening and to be able to stair-
step the activities will be nice. Having 2 preps to be able to focus on next year will allow me
to spend the needed time implementing this plan.
