THE EVENTS

1. ChE Leadership Training Seminar (LTS)

LTS is a one-day series of comprehensive and interactive workshops

and seminars; and relevant management and technical skills
development. The program consists of several talks on leadership,
project management, and efficient and effective human resource
management.

Interactive seminar sessions on fields such as publicity, finance

and marketing, and secretariat are also held to introduce the students
to the different committee works. From a variety of topics such as
online and print advertising and photography and videography for
publicity; corporate marketing and entrepreneurship for finance and
marketing; and journalistic and technical writing for secretariat, the
attendees will be exposed to more opportunities for growth and
development.

With this format of leadership training seminar, we envision the

students holistic growth as leaders while still excelling in their
field of specialization.

2. ChE Congress

Chemical Engineering Congress is a month-long project of the

ChESI. It is composed of various events which aim to further cultivate
the appreciation of the students towards Chemical Engineering both as
a degree program and as a profession. ChECon is more than just typical
talks and seminars about Chemical Engineering as its sub-events for
students and faculty alike impart distinct and helpful knowledge about
Chemical Engineering. Its sub-events include chemical engineering
symposium, seminar series and quiz show.

The Chemical Engineering Seminar Series presents new topics to

supplement Chemical Engineering students academic learning. By
introducing them to diverse topics, such as opportunities for a
Chemical Engineer in the corporate world, research and development in
Chemical Engineering, and emerging fields in Chemical Engineering, the
undergraduates would have a sneak peek of what it is like to be a
chemical engineer and the possible career paths after graduating.

The Chemical Engineering Symposium is a seminar wherein the topic

that will be discussed is based on the most relevant and in demand
subject matter as requested by our fellow students. An example of
which is an Internship Symposium.

The Chemical Engineering Quiz Show is not just a traditional show-

me boards and whiteboard markers type but incorporates fun and
 unconventional mechanics into the quiz show. Open to all students, the
quiz show is a great way to encapsulate the essence of Chemical
Engineering without compromising fun and amusement.

3. ChE Week
Chemical Engineering Week is an annual event held in order to
celebrate the achievements of the department and foster comradeship
among its members ChE Week gathers more than 600 students, faculty and
staff of the department for a week of fun, relaxation, and learning.
Here, batches earn points by doing fun tasks and attending to
interesting events. The batch with the most number of points win ChE
Week. The usual highlight of this event is the Mr. and Ms ChE Pageant
and Beat that Prof.

Through ChE Week and its events, we can provide a time and place
for closer ties to develop between faculty and students, for
camaraderie to foster among batches, and for social relevance to grow
in the department through different fun-filled challenges, activities,
and events, and we believe this caters to the competitive and fun-
loving nature of the Department of Chemical Engineering.
