AFFIDAVIT OF DEFENSE WITNESS

I, SHANEEN RAY M. ALFAR, 26 year of age, Filipino citizen, single, a resident of

Cagayan de Oro Philippines, defense witness in this case, after having been sworn to an
oath in accordance with law, do hereby depose and state that:

1. I work at the Daily News PH as a newspaper columnist.

2. As a part of my job, I cover big and scheduled events within Misamis Oriental.

3. On February 14, 2017, at around 8 oclock in the morning I was assigned to

cover a Ground Breaking Ceremony of a new Health Center in El Salvador. I then
packed up my things and proceeded to El Salvador.

4. I arrived at the venue at around 9 oclock in the morning. After a few minutes,
I saw Cagayan City Mayor Oscar Moreno, Vice Mayor Armando Mata and their
constituents arrive as well.

5. The program started at 9:30am. The ground breaking proper transpired,

which was then followed by the speech of the guest speaker, Mayor Oscar
Moreno. A plaque of appreciation was given to Mayor Moreno and thereafter, El
Salvador Mayor Mae Yur gave her closing remarks. The program ended at 12:00
noon.
 6. After the program was formally closed, I packed my things up and went back
to our office in Cagayan de Oro.

7. Upon arriving in Cagayan de Oro City, I immediately prepared a news article

and attached the pictures which I have taken. In accordance with the rules of
our company, I submitted a soft copy and a printed copy to our editor in chief
for final approval and publication.

8. The article which I had written about the ground breaking ceremony was then
published in the Daily News PH, February 15, 2017 issue.
