GREEN CAMPUS CHALLENGE

Dear Student,

We are extremely pleased to introduce you to the first ever LOreal Sustainability Challenge for B-
School Campuses in India- an extension of our commitment to Sharing Beauty with All.

From the very outset, L'Oral has been a company committed to consumer safety, to protect the
environment and to the welfare of its employees. As a worldwide market leader in beauty, we want to
further our commitment towards sustainable development with our mission to bring beauty for all.

Sharing Beauty with All is an ambitious and universal project for a better society, in which L'Oral India
takes up a new stance in relation to its consumers, citizens and communities.
The LOreal GREEN CAMPUS CHALLENGE is a direct extension of our commitment to living sustainably
with the mission to educate and empower the communities to make sustainable consumption choices
while enhancing the beauty of the planet.
Simply put, we want young and enthusiastic change agents like you, to fuel this cause.

Your Challenge: How can you improve sustainability in your campus?

Themes: Reduce, Re-use or Recycle

Duration of Challenge: Aug 1st, 2017 Aug 31st, 2017

How to take part in the Challenge?

1. Each student needs to individually register on our Events portal to take part in the challenge.
Link will be shared on our Facebook Page.
2. Students will then form a team of 3 students, irrespective of year of study or program.

Steps to follow:
1. Step 1: Take a picture of your team with the green pledge. The pledge should not be more than
25 words and should be goal oriented.
Post this picture on Facebook and tag @LOrealTalentIndia and your campus Facebook Page with
below hashtags #LOrealSustainabilityChallenge #LeadTheChange.
You will also separately upload this picture on the portal.
To be done on or before Aug 7th.
2. Step 2: Once the pledge is posted, you will have time till August 31 to action the pledge and be
considered as the Top Green Student Team.
3. Step 3: Your team will have three days until the Final Submission, which will comprise of:
a. A short write up explaining your green pledge, rationale and action taken (not
exceeding 2 pages, Arial font size 12 pt)
b. PDF Poster with pictures of your piloted idea (size- A4)
Both to be uploaded on Avature directly on or before September 3rd, 12:00 PM IST
Team entries will be judged on:
Usefulness / 30
Feasibility / 30
Innovation / 20
Scalability / 20
TOTAL SCORE 100

Whats in it for You:

1. All successful Green Pledge submissions on the Avature Portal will get a LOreal Goody Bag.
2. A Day at LOreal with the Senior Leadership for the top 5 winning teams.
3. Special prize for the most engaging Green Pledge on Facebook (basis highest no. of likes)
4. Best Green Campus Award to be given to the College with most number of quality final
submissions. The decision made by the internal jury will be abiding on all.

Important Dates:
Challenge opens: Aug 1st, 2017
Registration Deadline: August 7th, 2017
Last Date to submit your Green Pledge: August 7th, 2017
Challenge closes: Aug 31st, 2017
Submission Last Date: Sep 3rd, 2017 (12:00 PM)

Result Announcement: Sep 11th
