The Nampa High Art Department uses Standards Based


Grading for assessment. This means that you are not
graded on the assignment, but rather the STANDARD(s)
D (1)
connected to the assignment that demonstrates a specific B (3)

skill or cognitive task. Each standard is worth 4 points. 25%

We also have an alternative grading scale. In a traditional


grading system, an F is such a large percentage of the scale
that it bullies the other grades. In the Art Departments C (2)
scale, there is more balance between letter grades. 25%
